RUNIT
A compact running belt designed around one core theme: it must be for everyone all of the time. The belt adjusts for different sizes and situations, whether that's the belt's size or its capacity, making it versatile for any runner.
From the front, the belt is kept low and flat so it sits against the body rather than bouncing away from it. The main panel holds the essentials, and its matte finish keeps the design quiet so the focus stays on the run.
This project tested a wide range of skills, including physical prototyping, graphic design, logo design, rendering and drawing. The belt must adjust itself for everyone in every situation, whether that's the belt's size or its capacity.
From hand-drawn concepts to detailed renders, every aspect of the design was carefully considered to create a practical solution that works for runners of all types and fitness levels.
The renders show how the strap, buckle and pockets work together as one system. Seen from the back and open, the belt can be checked for fit and access before any prototype is made, which keeps changes quick and cheap.
Worn as intended, the belt stays close to the body through changes of pace, without digging in or shifting. It was designed for everyday runners as well as those who train hard, so the same belt works from a short jog to a longer session.
